Bonnie Boretsky
Bonnie Boretsky is VP, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary , and serves as the top legal official of the Canada Post Group. In this role she provides legal advice to the Board of Directors and Senior Management of all companies within the Group. She also oversees Canada Post's Security and Investigations group and the development of Canada Post's compliance program in relation to Proceeds of Crime, Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (PCMLTF), Privacy, Access to Information, Human Rights, Employment Equity, Official Languages and Whistleblowing. This includes building a strong compliance structure and culture that ensures all Canada Post activities are conducted in an ethical and legal manner and that the necessary policies and procedures are in place and appropriately followed to meet our legal requirements.
Bonnie joined Canada Post in 1984 as Legal Counsel and held the positions of Assistant General Counsel, Chief of Staff to the President and CEO, and Vice President, Compliance. Bonnie earned her Law Degree in 1979 from the University of Ottawa.
Bonnie is married to Andrew Fainer and has two daughters, Ari and Dani.
